The night before a specialist visit

It’s 10:48 on a Wednesday night, and you’re due at dermatology at 9:40 tomorrow.

The GI note is behind one login and the pediatrics note is behind another, and you’re trying to remember whether the dose went up before or after the rash started. If you’ve had that night, you know it isn’t a fun one.

  2. Is the topical cream still needed? Missing: no record of the cream. Ask dermatology to confirm.

What we care about most

Portability comes first, then ownership, then clarity.

  1. 01Portable

It should go where you go.

Families move, switch pediatricians and get sent to specialists across town. Your history should come along without you chasing it down, and be ready for whoever needs it next.

  2. 02Owned

It belongs to you, not to us.

That’s how we think it should work. You get to decide what’s shared and who sees it, and you can change your mind later.

  3. 03Clear

You should be able to understand it.

We want it all on one timeline and written in plain language, so you can walk into an appointment already knowing where things stand.

Promises we’re making now

Here’s what you can hold us to.

Wren hasn’t launched yet, so these are promises about how we’re building it, not a description of something you can use today. We’d rather say that up front.

  1. i

We’ll always show you where an answer came from.

When Wren explains a note or a result in plain language, it’ll point to the line it’s working from, so you never have to take it on faith.

  2. ii

Wren won’t diagnose anything or change a dose.

That’s your doctor’s job. When a question needs one, Wren will tell you so and add it to your list for the next visit.

  3. iii

You decide who gets to see what.

You might want to share with a co-parent or the school nurse. You can, and you can take it back whenever you want.

  4. iv

We won’t sell your family’s information.

We’ll only use it to improve Wren if you opt in, and only after we’ve removed anything that identifies you.

  5. v

You’ll be able to take all of it with you.

Exporting everything will be free and there whenever you want it. If Wren stops being useful to you, we don’t want to be the reason leaving is hard.

Small bird.
Long memory.

We named it after the wren, a tiny bird that makes itself heard. That’s the idea: something small that sits in your pocket and keeps track of everything your family’s been through. It isn’t ready yet, but you can be one of the first to try it.

We’ll only use your email to tell you about Wren, and you can unsubscribe whenever you like.
